Volunteering

At Tenterden and District Day Centre we are lucky to have the support of many volunteers, who assist the qualified staff in many ways.

Volunteer support is important to keep the costs of our service as low as possible to the members who use the Centre.  We are always happy to provide volunteer placements, and ensure that our volunteers are a member of the Team.

There are many opportunities available from a few hours every couple of weeks to every day assistants.  All we ask is that you commit to the hours that you have offered to assist with the smooth running of the Centre.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Minibus Drivers morning/afternoon (8:30-10:15 and 2:30-3:45. D1 licence essential)

Minibus Passenger Assistants

Working in one of our two charity shops

Assisting in the Day Centre or TDIA

Helping Activities Coordinators to provide arts, crafts and activities

Administration and Reception

Membership of the Board of Trustees

Helping our Fundraising Committee organise and run fundraising events

If you would like an informal chat about volunteering, or would like to arrange a tour of the Centre, please call Liz Thorne on 01580 762882.
